Tuesday, August 9th, 2005Okay, I’ve been busy. I ran 3 games at Trinic-con (though one session was for only 1 player) and played in the other slots. That includes the battle interactive. Once again, my cleric character died. At least now I know that it’s not due to bad character design, just bad luck.
I finished the doily that I was tatting for A & C. I missed giving it to them before they moved because I needed to take a photo of it for my portfolio & I need to wash & press it. Right now it’s folded up inside an Altoid tin.
Diana is running Ironclaw again so I created a character for it. She’s not particularly combat effective but she has one or two tricks up her sleeve. She’s not defenseless.
The new Spycraft book is out & I have a copy. Now I need to look at re-writing my Living Spycraft character (no urgency, the campaign isn’t updating for months).
The campus store is about to undergo renovations so the bookstore is trying to get rid of all of their overstock. Half off the sale price…and that includes some cd’s. I picked up some interesting ones. If I really liked classical music I could get lots more. I’ve found some very interesting books. Including some that will do very well for presents.
I still haven’t cut my hair for Locks of Love. I just haven’t found the time. I console myself that when I do send it, it will be long enough to give some girl (or boy) a nice long wig.
Once more I’m writing letters to all of my aunts & to my niece. I think it’s about time to add my namesake to the list of letter recipients. She’ll be old enough to appreciate it in about a year. I’ve finished letters to both of my Dad’s sisters & now I’m starting on Mom’s. I wrote to her youngest sister 1st because she’s coming to visit in a sennight & I’d like for her to get the letter before she leaves. Then I’ll write to the sister who’s hosting us (she has the largest house, had 3 kids). I’ll save the last letter for the visit so that everyone can add to it. She can’t make it this year, so this will a nice little way to include her. Last but certainly not least, I’ll write to my niece.
I have my copy of the latest Harry Potter book but I haven’t read it yet. I was mildly disappointed with the last one so I haven’t been as eager. Plus, I’m waiting for a block of time to start it.
This post is already way too long. I’ll finish catching up later.
